Hut site in Ballyconry (burren By., Drumcreehy Ed)

Hut site

What is recorded here

No credible fact exists about the requested Ballyconry hut site. The available material names Cappanawalla, not Ballyconry, and describes a possible circular feature inside a hillfort rather than a documented hut with a clear story.
High on the E slope of Cappanawalla, quite close to the summit. A possible circular hut site (diam. c. 8m) was noted on Digital Globe (imagery date 2011-13) and reported to the National Monuments Service by Ros Ó Maoldúin. This lies within Cappanawalla hillfort (CL002-027001-). Compiled by: Mary Tunney Date of upload: 23 November 2020

The monument record does not grant public access. Check the route and ask the landowner before entering private land.
