Battle of Drumclog is a major battle site with a checked map point.
The Battle of Drumclog was fought in 1679 between the Covenanters, led by William Cunningham, 9th Earl of Glencairn, and government forces under General Tam Dalyell. The Covenanters won a significant victory, which marked a turning point in the 1679 uprising and boosted their resistance against the royalist authorities in Scotland.
