Battle of Carbisdale is a major battle site with a checked map point.
Fought in 1644 near Dornoch in Sutherland, the Battle of Carbisdale saw Royalist forces under the Earl of Seaforth defeat a smaller Covenanter army. The victory was significant as it temporarily strengthened Royalist influence in northern Scotland during the Wars of the Three Kingdoms.
