Battle of Kilsyth is a major battle site with a checked map point.
Fought on 15 August 1645 between the Royalist forces of the Marquess of Montrose and the Covenanter army led by General David Leslie. The Royalists won a decisive victory, but the Covenanters later regrouped and reversed the war's outcome in Scotland.
