Dunvegan Castle, located on the island of Skye in Scotland, was the historic seat of the Macleods of Dunvegan and dates back to at least the 13th century. It is important as a symbol of Clan Macleod heritage and as one of the few castles in Scotland to have remained in the hands of the same clan for over 800 years.
