Tusdale, Skye

Scotland's National Record of the Historic Environment records Tusdale, Skye as Cross Incised Stone (early Medieval). The official map says its point is accurate as follows: NGR given to the nearest 10m. The record does not by itself mean that the public may enter the place.

Tusdale, Skye is associated with a holy well linked to St. Moluag, a 6th-century Irish missionary and founder of the monastery on the Isle of Luing. Locals traditionally visited the site for healing, particularly for ailments of the eyes and skin, and rituals often involved the collection of water on specific feast days.
