Scotland's National Record of the Historic Environment records Aviemore as Ring Cairn (neolithic) - (bronze Age), Stone Circle (neolithic) - (bronze Age). The official map says its point is accurate as follows: NGR given to the nearest 10m. The record does not by itself mean that the public may enter the place.

Neolithic ring cairn and stone circle, dating to the Neolithic and Bronze Age periods. These features are significant as they represent early ritual or ceremonial landscapes in upland Scotland.
