Castle Heather is a lost castle in Highland, Scotland, whose broad ditch and level platform still shape the land though no building remains visible. It may have been a defensive keep or a religious retreat, since old writers called it a castle of recluses rather than soldiers. Two unmarked post holes and charcoal are all that survive, leaving the true purpose hidden beneath farm stones and forgotten names.
