Castle Heather is a lost castle in Highland, Scotland, whose earthworks were destroyed by 1990. It may have been a monastery rather than a military keep, judging by the old name meaning a place of retreat. What remains is a farm field where a castle once stood, stripped of its walls but still carrying the shape of that earlier life.
