Castle Stuart stands in Highland, Scotland, a stone towerhouse built about 1625 for the Earl of Moray. Its date stones still show in the front and rear walls at roof height, and the house remains inhabited. The name changed from Stewart to Stuart only after a predecessor became Baron Stuart of Castle Stuart in 1796, preserving the older castle identity inside a newer title.

The official map says its point is accurate as follows: NGR given to the nearest 1m. The record does not by itself mean that the public may enter the place.
