What is recorded here

Castle Kitchie is a ruined fort on a Highland spur where a thick stone wall still circles the summit. The local name points to a later building inside the old fort, while the older Gaelic names suggest a round castle and a kitchen cairn. People may have lived, hidden or remembered food and fire there before the stones fell.

Scotland's National Record of the Historic Environment records Castle Kitchie as Fort (period Unassigned). The official map says its point is accurate as follows: NGR given to the nearest 10m. The record does not by itself mean that the public may enter the place.
