Auchnahannet stands in the Highland as a medieval tower house beside an unassigned farmstead, its stones still catching the wind. The exact position is known within ten metres, yet the chamber may have held only a family, a guard or a fleeing lover. No public path is certain, but the building remains clear enough to imagine life moving through its dark rooms.

Scotland's National Record of the Historic Environment records Auchnahannet as Farmstead (period Unassigned), Tower House (medieval). The official map says its point is accurate as follows: NGR given to the nearest 10m. The record does not by itself mean that the public may enter the place.
