Fairburn Tower — Report the wrong picture

Without a roof and with little more than wall-head remaining, the tower stood exposed on a long ridge for centuries. The Landmark Trust has since restored it, pulling it back from ruin and returning it to human use. What was once a bare, vulnerable shell has become a place where life can enter again.

Scotland's National Record of the Historic Environment records Fairburn Tower as Tower House (medieval). The official map says its point is accurate as follows: NGR given to the nearest 1m. The record does not by itself mean that the public may enter the place.

Fairburn Tower is a medieval tower house located in Scotland, built in the 16th century by the Fairburn family, a local landholding family. It is remembered as an example of Scottish domestic architecture and as evidence of the region's feudal history.
