Gartymore

Scotland's National Record of the Historic Environment records Gartymore as Chapel (medieval). The official map says its point is accurate as follows: NGR given to the nearest 10m. The record does not by itself mean that the public may enter the place.

Gartymore is associated with Saint Fillan, a 7th-century Irish monk and healer, and is linked to a tradition of pilgrimage and water cure. The site’s holy well was believed to have curative properties, particularly for skin ailments and lameness, and was visited on St Fillan’s feast day on 18 July.
