Castle Stuart stands in Highland, Scotland, a castle built about 1625 by the Earl of Moray. It is still inhabited and in good order, with date stones bearing 1625 set at roof height in the front and rear walls. The name changed from Stewart to Stuart after a predecessor of the present Earl became Baron Stuart of Castle Stuart in 1796.
