Lochindorb Castle stands as a medieval ruin in the Highland, marked by a scheduled monument and unassigned human remains. The stones may have held guards, families or strangers whose names disappeared before the castle itself faded. Lochindorb Castle was built in the 13th century by the Keith family, a powerful noble lineage in medieval Scotland. It is remembered for its strategic location near the River Ythan and its historical association with the Earls of Mar.
