Cannich

Scotland's National Record of the Historic Environment records Cannich as Cross Slab (early Medieval). The official map says its point is accurate as follows: NGR given to the nearest 1km. The record does not by itself mean that the public may enter the place.

Cannich Cross Slab is likely from the early medieval period and may have had a Christian religious function, possibly marking a burial site or waystation. Local folklore sometimes associates such stones with protective or territorial symbolism.
