What is recorded here

Sandwood Bay is shown as a bay on the public map of Highland. The saved point is the map point or the centre of its mapped shape.
Sandwood Bay features a coastal rock formation composed primarily of Lewisian gneiss, some of the oldest rocks in Scotland, dating back around 3 billion years. These highly metamorphosed rocks formed deep within the Earth's crust through intense heat and pressure, and are notable for their resilience to erosion and their role in the ancient geological history of the region.
