Battle of Littleferry

Scotland's National Record of the Historic Environment records Battle of Littleferry as Battle Site (18th Century) (1746), Commemorative Stone (21st Century). The Battle of Littleferry was fought in 1746 between Jacobite forces and government troops in the aftermath of the failed Jacobite rising led by Charles Edward Stuart. The government forces won, securing their control in the region and helping to suppress remaining Jacobite resistance in northern Scotland.
