Ardvreck Castle is a scheduled medieval castle in Highland, Scotland. It still stands as a ruin with a possible walled garden beside it. The stones have watched the local landscape since at least the medieval period, keeping the shape of a home that no longer has a roof.
Scotland's National Record of the Historic Environment records Ardvreck Castle as Enclosure (period Unassigned). The official map says its point is accurate as follows: NGR given to the nearest 1m. The record does not by itself mean that the public may enter the place.
Ardvreck Castle was built by the Clan Mackenzie in the 16th century and later held by the Clan Munro after a conflict in the 17th century. It is remembered for its strategic location on the North Coast 500 route and its historical associations with Highland clan rivalries.
