Castle Naze is an isolated medieval farmstead in Chapel-en-le-Frith where the Bellots or Bealots resided in 1266. It still stands as a scattered cluster of surviving nineteenth-century buildings, though half its traditional rooms have vanished. The naze holds no grand monument, only the quiet endurance of a family home that outlived the hands which first built it.
