In pasture, located on a rise providing good views, with a gently fall of ground to W and NW, in an area of generally lowlying, poorly drained terrain.
An oval embanked circular enclosure is shown the 1838 OS 6-inch map. An oval tree-planted enclosure (35m NW−SE; 28m NE−SW) delineated by a solid line is shown on the 1930 edition. There is no visible trace at ground level.
