What is recorded here
Located c. 90m SE of Heapstown cairn (SL034-128----) and indicated as out-cropping rock on the OS 6-inch map. It comprises a large bouder (dims. 2.75m N-S; 2.75 E-W; T 1.30m). Two support stones, apparently set, are visible on the S and other stones and material support it on the N. The extant remains are hardly sufficient to permit classification as a megalithic structure with certainty and possibility that this may be a natural feature cannot be excluded. It has affinities with the possible boulder-burial at Achonry (SL032-189----).
