What is recorded here

Castle Square in Gwynedd held a Post Office during the Post Medieval period, a small anchor for news and trade in a region where distance still measured life in hours and miles. The building may have been plain, but its function was not: letters arrived, orders went out, and people gathered around the certainty that the outside world could be reached. Whether the room was crowded or quiet, the post office gave Castle Square a purpose beyond stone and street.
The National Monuments Record of Wales records Post Office, Castle Square as Post Office from the Post Medieval period. The saved point comes from the official national record. Inclusion does not by itself mean that the public may enter the place.

The historic-place record does not grant public access. Check current conditions and ownership before entering land or a building.
