Graveslab in Gardens (kilkenny City By., St. Mary’s Par.) is a fossiliferous limestone ledger for Augustus and Margaret Dunning, marking a death in August 1625. It carries an eight-armed cross with fleur-de-lis terminals, flanked by streamers above a stepped base. The slab moved from the chancel floor to the north transept around 1960, then to the south transept in 2015.

At St Mary's parish church (KK019-026115-) in Kilkenny. A rectangular slab (L 1.9m; Wth 0.65m), composed of fossiliferous limestone, either the mensa of a chest tomb or a ledger for -? Dunning (d. 1625) and Margaret Dunning (Carrigan 1905, vol. 3, 95; Cockerham 2009, 356). It is decorated with an eight-armed cross with fleur-de-lis terminals on a shaft that rises from a stepped base. The shaft is flanked by streamers. A marginal Latin black letter and Roman lettering inscription is now largely illegible but was originally recorded by Carrigan (1905, vol. 3, 93) as: [Roman lettering] AVGVSTVS 1625, [black letter] ET MARGARETA DUNGIN UXOR EIUS Q. OBIIT [ ] DIE MENSIS [ ] which translates as, '... August 1625, and his wife Margaret Dungin who died [ ] day the month of [ ]'. According to Carrigan (ibid.) the slab was on the floor on the N side of the chancel when recorded by him around 1900.
