Graveslab in Gardens (kilkenny City By., St. Mary’s Par.) is a tombstone bearing a floriated cross in relief. It emerged from beneath building foundations in Kilkenny, joined by one other slab, suggesting burial or memorial use hidden under later construction. The cross work gives the stone visual life, while its buried position reminds that ordinary ground can hold forgotten ceremony.
