Graveslab in Blanchvillestown

Within the medieval church of Kylebeg (KK020-057001-). Lying near the S wall of the chancel, at the E end, embedded in the ground. A tapering limestone slab (L 1.84m; Wth at top 0.65m narrowing to 0.23m at base) with a broad chamfer (Wth 0.07m) around the edges. The top sinister corner is broken off and the top dexter corner is fractured. There is also a diagonal fracture running across the lower portion of the slab. The upper surface is decorated with an incised cross with a triangular cross-head with four fleur-de-lis terminals. There is a knop beneath the cross-head.
