What is recorded here
On a hummock in level pastureland. Known locally as ‘the lios’, this irregular unenclosed children's burial ground has been encroached upon by quarrying at S. According to local information, the last burial took place c. 1900. Sometime between the mid-1930s and mid-1940s hawthorn trees growing on it were removed but the graves were not disturbed. However, no visible surface traces of any grave-markers now survive.
