What is recorded here
Situated on rise of ground with good views in all directions. Remains consist of a rectangular-shaped area (approx. dims. 36m N-S x 42m E-W) enclosed by a post-1700 stone wall with entrance gate and stile at W end of N wall. Ardcanny church ruins (LI014-008001-) stands in N quadrant of graveyard. Inscribed 18th century datestone incorporated into pier of gateway may date the construction of the church and graveyard wall. The stone bears the name Michael Nevil with the date October 27th 1786.
