What is recorded here
On a slight rise in flat grassland. The OS Letters (O’Flanagan 1927, Vol. 2, 114) refer to ‘an old burial ground, and two small stumps of the remains of an old church [GA099-118----]’. No visible surface trace of either survives. A modern church may occupy the site of the earlier church. According to local information, because of the threat being posed to the 'burial ground' during the construction of the later church, some of the burials were removed to the modern graveyard to the S.
