What is recorded here

Booleys were temporary timber shelters built by forest workers during seasonal timber felling. Glenmakeeran may have hosted such a camp where men lived briefly among the pines before moving on. The hut is destroyed now, but the valley still holds the shape of that temporary life.

The official Northern Ireland record identifies this as BOOLEY HUT (destroyed). Recorded period: UNCERTAIN. The official map point was placed at the centre of the recorded archaeological site from the source map reference.
