Gateway, extant 1841, on a symmetrical plan comprising pair of lichen-spotted panelled piers on moulded cushion courses on plinths having "Cyma Recta"- or "Cyma Reversa"-detailed cornices below lichen-covered shallow pyramidal capping supporting arrow head-detailed wrought iron double gates with lichen-spotted panelled outer piers on moulded cushion courses on plinths having "Cyma Recta"- or "Cyma Reversa"-detailed cornices below lichen-covered shallow pyramidal capping supporting arrow head-detailed wrought iron gates. Road fronted at entrance to grounds of Glenbeg House.
A gateway forming part of a self-contained group alongside an adjacent gate lodge (see 22902019) with the resulting ensemble making a pleasing visual statement in a sylvan street scene at the entrance on to the grounds of the Glenbeg House estate.
