Crookston Castle is the only surviving medieval castle in Glasgow, rebuilt in stone around 1400 by the Darnley Stewarts inside a much older earthwork. It has endured cannon fire, sieges, abandonment and restoration, yet it still stands on its hill above the Levern Water. The castle has belonged to many powerful families, but it has never stopped being a place where memory, ambition and survival collided.
