What is recorded here

No visible trace remains, but the name and kind point to a lost ringfort, not a new invention. Black Fort may have been a small defended home, a boundary marker or a place where people gathered when the land was busy. The earth has taken back most of its shape, leaving only the chance that walls, doors and daily life once filled the circle.
