Ten metres to the northwest, a second unmarked stone pile waits in the same grass. Together they form a small pair on the hillside, perhaps guiding people across open pasture or marking a boundary now forgotten. The glantrasna valley drops away below them, giving the stones a clear view of the land they watched.

In rough hill pasture, on a S-facing slope, overlooking the valley of the Glantrasna River. An oval cairn (2.9m N-S; 2.2m E-W; H 0.4m) of loose stones, exposed intermittently on a mainly grass-covered upper surface. Loose stones are scattered beside the perimeter. Another cairn (KE109-001008-) is c. 10m to the NW. The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Kerry.
