Saint Patrick stands recorded in County Galway, yet the man himself belongs everywhere and nowhere at once. He may have walked these western roads or merely lent his name to them, but the distinction stops mattering once stone and memory touch. Patrick is the exception who defeated logic, which is why men still build monuments to him instead of admitting defeat.
