In marshy ground. Heavily overgrown mound of burnt material (c. 11m N-S; c.9m E-W; H 0.8m). Shape of overgrowth suggests that mound ishorseshoe-shaped with the opening facing SSW. The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Cork. Volume 3: Mid Cork' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 1997).
