On a broad flat terrace on the lower W-facing slope of Turloughmore Mountain. A compact horseshoe-shaped mound (9m N−S; 8m E−W; H 0.95m) with a shallow central hollow (c. 2m N−S; c. 2.5m E−W) opening to E onto a small pool (3.7m N−S; 1.8m E−W) fed by a spring which issues from the base of a low bedrock cliff. The mound is composed of a dense concentration of heat-shattered limestone fragments in grey/black soil.
