This blue commemorative plaque records: Saint Mary's Parish Church, c. 1490. Built by Margaret Beaufort, mother of Henry Tudor, to mark his victory at the Battle of Bosworth 1485, which brought the Tudors to the throne. Eglwys Blwyf y Santes Fair, tua 1490. Saint Mary's Parish Church, built around 1490 by Margaret Beaufort, marks her son Henry Tudor's victory at the Battle of Bosworth in 1485, which ended the Wars of the Roses and initiated the Tudor dynasty.
