Dunimarle Castle is an 1840s seaside castle-villa on the western edge of Culross, built to frame the Firth of Forth rather than defend it. Magdalene Sharpe Erskine added towers, terraces and gardens around the older house, turning the estate into one theatrical composition of architecture and landscape. She also filled it with about 850 works of art and endowed it as a museum after her death in 1872.

Scotland's National Record of the Historic Environment records Dunimarle Castle as Avenue (period Unassigned). The official map says its point is accurate as follows: NGR given to the nearest 10m. The record does not by itself mean that the public may enter the place.

Dunimarle Castle was built in the 13th century by the de Morville family, a prominent noble lineage in medieval Scotland. It is remembered for its strategic location near the River Tay and its association with the powerful Earls of Angus, highlighting its role in regional power dynamics during the Middle Ages.
