Blair Castle, a 19th-century country house near Culross in Fife, became The Charles Carlow Miners' Convalescent Home in 1927 after being gifted to the Fife, Kinross and Clackmannan Welfare Committee. It gave exhausted miners a place to breathe, eat and remember they were human before returning to dark tunnels. That kindness still lives in its rooms, gardens and event halls, where rest and gathering continue under the same roof.

Scotland's National Record of the Historic Environment records Blair Castle as Country House (19th Century). The official map says its point is accurate as follows: NGR given to the nearest 1m. The record does not by itself mean that the public may enter the place.

Blair Castle, located in Perth and Kinross, Scotland, was originally built in the 13th century and significantly expanded over subsequent centuries by the Clan Atholl, one of Scotland's most prominent noble families. It is important as a historic seat of the Dukes of Atholl and for its well-preserved architecture and role in Scottish history.
