This blue commemorative plaque records: Carnegie Hall. A smaller version of its New York namesake, this was the last public building to be gifted to Dunfermline by Andrew Carnegie's endowment. In classical Modern design (Muirhead and Rutherford, 1937). It hosts many arts events.
Andrew Carnegie was a pioneering industrialist and philanthropist who amassed wealth through steel production and donated extensively to public works, including Carnegie Hall in Dunfermline. His contributions significantly advanced cultural and educational opportunities globally.
