A clochaun shown as circular on the OS maps, described as quadrangular by Macalister (1899, 239) and by Curran (no.37) as having straight gables and curved sides. The above description is derived from J. Cuppage, ‘Corca Dhuibhne. Dingle Peninsula archaeological survey. Ballyferriter. Oidhreacht Chorca Dhuibhne’ (1986), no. 1449.
