Fairy fort / stone ringfort in Poulaphuca (oughtmama Ed),poulbaun (burren By.)

Fairy fort / stone ringfort

What is recorded here

Poulaphuca and poulbaun hold one of Ireland's many fairy forts, ancient stone rings where people once lived or worshipped before the stories changed. The burren By. and oughtmama Ed still surround them, preserving the shape of hands that built against weather and time. What is certain is the stone, the place and the age-old idea that some rings belong to humans while others are left for the fairies.
