Fairy fort / stone ringfort

What is recorded here

That is the visible fact in the supplied detail. The missing part is not a claim that you want to avoid; it is the reason the story would become shallow.
In pasture, on break in NNW-facing slope. Commands fine view NW across Owngar River. Circular area (27m N-S; 27.1m E-W) enclosed by collapsed stone wall (H 1.1m). The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Cork. Volume 1: West Cork' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 1992). In certain instances the entries have been revised and updated in the light of recent research. Date of upload/revision: 14 January 2009

The monument record does not grant public access. Check the route and ask the landowner before entering private land.
