What is recorded here
Fairy fort / stone ringfort in Garraun North (dunkellin By.) is a vanished cashel: Lynch Athy (1914, 166) still points to a possible stone fort west of the moated site, yet field walkers came home empty-handed. The land has swallowed its own marker, leaving a hole shaped like a room. Whatever stood there has stopped answering, which is rarer and more interesting than losing it altogether.
Lynch Athy (1914, 166) refers the remains of a possible 'stone fort' a short distance to the W of the moated site (GA083-036001-). The area was field walked but the monument was not located.
