Fairy fort / ringfort in Knockdoemore (lackaghbeg Ed)

Knockdoemore holds a thirty-five metre circular rath on a gentle south-facing Galway slope, its bank and outside ditch still drawing a clear line across the grass. The eastern gap may mark the original entrance, inviting people into a space where the boundary between human residence and fairy trickery becomes porous. Whatever life occurred inside, the earth preserved the shape while memory faded, leaving a quiet chamber where imagination can still occupy the absence.
