What is recorded here

Cave is a subcircular ringfort in North Galway, marked on the first Ordnance Survey map as an enclosure about forty-five metres across. No wall, ditch or broken stone still shows on the grassy slope. The land has taken back the shape, leaving only the memory of a boundary and the chance that people once lived inside it.

On a N-facing slope in grassland. Marked on 1st ed. of OS 6-inch map as a subcircular enclosure (c. 45m by c. 40m). No visible surface trace survives.
