Fairy fort in Moyny Middle: an oval earthen ring atop a drumlin in County Cork, with an eastern entrance and a hidden underground passage. People called it a fairy fort because the shape seemed to belong elsewhere, yet the quarried bank and cultivation ridges suggest human hands shaped it. Maybe a family lived there, raised children, and vanished into story. The fort still holds its outline, waiting for someone to remember what it was before becoming magic.

In pasture, atop drumlin. Oval area (19m N-S; 22.5m E-W) enclosed by low earthen bank (int. H 0.5m); outer bank face flush with side of drumlin which is terraced. Entrance to E (Wth 2.5m). Bank quarried into on NW side. Interior, retaining rounded profile of drumlin, crossed by cultivation ridges running E-W; Man-made underground passage (CO119-095---).
