What is recorded here
Kilcolumb is a rural district in County Kilkenny, home to scattered farms and old fields. An earthen ringfort stands in Gaulstown, marked locally as a fairy fort. People may have lived there before fear of fairies discouraged entry. The ridge still cuts the field like a forgotten boundary, waiting for someone brave enough to walk its edge.
